Taco Rock

So I live near by and wanted to try this place out, cause who doesn't love tacos!? Ok first the good, the place does have a nice vibe and has a good bit of seating (indoor/outdoor passthrough area is quite fun). The tacos themselves were alright, tried chicken, shrimp and salmon ones. The salmon was the best, but the other two just felt like a mishmash of flavors and nothing really stood out. For 4.50 a taco, I wasn't impressed. But my main gripe is that this really isn't a "restaurant" to me, it's more sit down take out. There is no service to speak of. You place your order on a tablet. You then grab a buzzer, and I thought at least someone would bring us our order. But no, you have to get up and go to the prep area to pick it up. I think the most insulting part is where the tablet asks me how much I want to tip. For what? I literally didn't interact with a human at your restaurant. This setup frustrates customers, full stop. Now look, this place is probably really all about the tequila bar...which looked amazing btw. Just not my thing. But if you're looking for a great taco stop, I might look at other nearby options.

Taco Rock is a great addition to the local dining scene. Especially nice when the weather warms and the bar window opens for outside seating and Patio dining. Love their fajitas, puffy tacos, margaritas, and most everything else. My favorite, however, is their daytime bartender, Christina, who makes everyone feel welcome. Don’t get me wrong, other bartenders are good too, but Christina is the equivalent of Ted Danson from the show Cheers. I highly recommend stopping by, cozying up to the bar, ordering a drink/food, and forming your own opinion. Enjoy!!!

For a fast casual place , this is worth 5 stars. I read reviews complaining about you ordering for yourself … if you don’t like that then take yourself to a Michelin star or something. I ordered The birria Crunchwrap and my partner had a ground beef burrito. I could not finish my birria Crunchwrap they pack it in with a lot of meat. It was great. We were both satisfied and full. I also ordered one of their smoothie drinks and added a shot to it for $9 more, for a total of $15. (kinda pricey in my opinion) but overall everything was good. The place is pretty clean. It was a Sunday afternoon so it was quiet. I’m curious to see what it’s like on taco Tuesday. Also they have gender neutral bathrooms and the sign was cute

First time here, I sat at the bar and had a margarita, chips with salsa, and the first three tacos listed in their Classic Tacos box. I will warn you, the jalapeño salsa on the Al Pastor taco was exceptionally hot. I can handle normal hot wings, but I prefer medium. That is my heat tolerance. And that salsa lit me up!! Overall, I liked this place. They have a big menu with a ton of options, and I saw plenty of things I'd like to go back and try.
